The Great Gray Owl is the largest owl in North America and the tallest owl in the world. It has a wingspan of up to five feet. This beautiful bird was hunting in Orick, California in February of 2016. It was the first time one had been seen that far south in 15 years.

I use my own photographs as reference images for my subjects.
